Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Bandarawela Depot TATA LP 1210/42 bus (BW 05 / 30ශ්‍රී3124) photographed in Bandarawela on 12 July 2017. This classic SLTB Type C bus, built by the Central Workshop, Ekala on a TATA LP 1210/42 chassis, was manufactured in India in 1983 and registered on 1 September 1983. The bus was originally allocated to Negombo Depot before being transferred to Bandarawela Depot, where it continued to provide reliable passenger transport for many years. At the time this photograph was taken, the bus was operating on a local service between Boralanda and Bandarawela, representing one of the long-serving TATA buses that played a significant role in Sri Lanka's public transport system during the 1980s and beyond. The bus was obtained from Lanka Ashok Leyland PLC on temporary hire basis. Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Bandarawela depot, Ashok Leyland Comet Minor modified bus (GD-9921) near the lake Richmond on the Haputhale Dambethanna road. The bus acquired to Ruhnu bus company's Tangalle depot fleet in 2001. Recently transfferd to the Bandarawela depot due to timetable requiremnets. This photo was taken in April 2024 while it was allocated for the service between Bandarawela and Dambethanna under the route number 326. -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ග.ම.) බණ්ඩාරවෙල  ඩිපෝව යටතේ ධාවනය වන අශෝක් ලේලන්ඩ් කොමට් මයිනර් වර්ගයේ බස් රථයක් හපුතලේ දඹේතැන්න මාර්ගයේ ලේක් රිච්මන්ඩ් අසල දී. 2001 වසරේ ධාවනයට එක් වී ඇති රථය රුහුණු බස් සමාගමේ තංගල්ල ඩිපෝව යටතේ ධාවනයට එක්වී ඇත. පසුකාලීන ධාවන අවශ්‍යතා මත මෙලෙස බණ්ඩාරවෙල ඩිපෝව වෙත ලබා දී ඇත. පසුකාලීන අළුත්වැඩියාවන් වලදී රථයේ මුහුණත මුල් පෙනුම වෙනස් වී ඇති බව නිරීක්‍ෂණය වේ. ඡායාරූපය ලබාගන්නා අවස්ථාවේ රථය මාර්ග අංක 326 යටතේ බණ්ඩාරවෙල සිට දඹේතැන්න බලා ධාවනය වෙමින් තිබුණි.

Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Mahiyangana depot, 42 seater Ashok Leyland Viking 193 Turbo bus (MY 45 / NC-0035) at the Mahiyanganaya bus stand. The bus acquired to the depot fleet in 2014. The body of the bus was built by the SLCTB Ekala Workshop and allocated for the services in 1981. Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB)  Thanamalwila depot, Ashok Leyland Viking 210 Turbo bus (TW 20 / NB-8279) at the Wellawaya bus stand. The bus was acquired to the SLTB fleet in 2014. The bus was traveling from Tissamaharama to Colombo on December 31, 2017, when it met with a serious accident in the Thanamalwila area. The vehicle was severely damaged in the accident and the conductor Namal Kaushalya died on the spot. The vehicle was later sent to the Badulla Regional Workshop for repairs and was put back into operation in March 2018 after a complete overhaul. This photo was taken at the Wellawaya bus stand on March 19, 2019, and at the time of taking the photo, the bus was ready to run towards Thanamalwila. -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ග.ම.) තණමල්විල ඩිපෝව යටතේ ධාවනය වන අශෝක් ලේලන්ඩ් වයිකින්ග් 210 ටර්බෝ වර්ගයේ බස් රථයක් වැල්ලවාය බස් නැවතුමේ දී. 2014 බස් රථ 2200 වැඩපිළිවෙල යටතේ ශ්‍රී ලංගමට ලැබී ඇති බස් රථය සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම ඉන්දියාවේ නිෂ්පාදිතය. මෙම බස් රථය, 2017 වසරේ දෙසැම්බර් මස 31 වන දින තිස්සමහාරාම සිට කොළඹ බලා ධාවනය වෙමින් තිබියෙදී, තණමල්විල ප්‍රදේශයේ දී දරුණු අනතුරකට ලක්වී ඇත. අනතුරින් රථයේ කොන්දොස්තර වරයා ලෙස සේවය කල නාමල් කෞශල්‍ය මහතා ජීවිතක්‍ෂයට පත්වී ඇති අතර මගීන් රැසක්ද තුවාල ලබා ඇත. එම අන්නතුරෙන් බස් රථයට ද දැඩි හානි සිදුවී ඇති අතර අලුත්වැඩියාව සඳහා රථය ශ්‍රී ලංගම බදුල්ල ප්‍රාදේශීය වැඩපොළ (සමවායය) වෙත යොමු කර ඇත. පූර්ණ අලුත්වැඩියාවකින් පසු 2018 වසරේ මාර්තු මස නැවත ධාවනයට එක්වී ඇති රථය, 2019 වසරේ මාර්තු මස 19 වන දින ඡායාරූපය ලබාගනන්නා අවස්ථාවේ වැල්ලවායේ සිට තණමල්විල බලා ධාවනයට සූදානමින් තිබුණි.

This bus which was sent to the SLTB Badulla Regional Workshop for repairs after the accident -- අනතුරෙන් පසු අලුත්වැඩියාව සඳහා ශ්‍රී ලංගම බදුල්ල ප්‍රාදේශීය වැඩපොළ වෙත යැවුණු මෙම බස් රථය වැඩපොළ පරිශ්‍රයේ දී.

Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Badulla depot, modified Ashok Leyland comet Minor open-top bus (GE-3869) in the depot premises. This vehicle operating under the Kalutara depot of the Kalutara Bus Company in 2000 was later taken away by the SLTB Badulla depot in 2019 and repaired and modified as a special tour bus in March 2021. -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ග.ම.) බදුල්ල ඩිපෝවට අයත්, අශෝක් ලේලන්ඩ් කොමට් මයිනර් වර්ගයේ බස් රථයකි. 2000 වසරේ එවකට කළුතර බස් සමාගමේ කළුතර ඩිපෝව යටතේ ධාවනයට එක්වී ඇති මෙම රථය පසු කාලීනව ධාවනයන් සීමාකර තිබියෙදී 2019 වසරේ ශ්‍රී ලංගම බදුල්ල ඩිපෝව විසින් රැගෙනවිත් මෙලෙස විශේෂ සංචාර බස් රථයක් ලෙස අලුත්වැඩියා කර 2021 වසරේ මාර්තු මස මෙලෙස ධාවනයට එක් කර ඇත. ඉදිරියේ දී ඇල්ල ඇතුළු සංචාරක කළාප ඉලක්ක කර විශේෂ සේවා ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමට නියමිත බව ඩිපෝ ආරංචිමාර්ග පවසයි.

Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Kappetipola DTS, Mercedes-Benz LP 322/42 bus, featuring a body built by the Werahera Workshop, photographed at the Kappetipola Depot on 28 November 2013. The bus was originally acquired by the CTB Badulla Depot in 1963 and was later transferred to Kappetipola Depot in the early 1980s. Following its transfer, it was allocated to passenger services between Nuwara Eliya and Badulla. After a relatively short period in regular passenger service, the bus was transferred to the Driver Training School, where it was used for driver training purposes. By the time of this photograph, the bus had undergone several repairs and modifications. The front section had been altered considerably, giving it an appearance resembling a TATA bus, particularly around the front fascia. Despite these modifications, the vehicle remains an interesting example of an early Mercedes-Benz bus operated by the CTB and later retained for training purposes. -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ග.ම.) කැප්පෙටිපොල ඩිපෝවේ රියදුරු අභ්‍යාස විද්‍යාලයට අයත්, ලංගම බඳ සහිත මර්සිඩීස්-බෙන්ස් LP 322/42 වර්ගයේ බස් රථයක් ඩිපෝ පරිශ්‍රයේ දී. 1963 වසරේ ලංගම බදුල්ල ඩිපෝව හා එකතු වී ඇති රථයේ බඳ ලංගම වේරහැර මධ්‍යම වැඩපොළේ දී එකලස් කර ඇත. පසුව 1980 දශකයේ මුල් භාගයේ කැප්පෙටිපොල ඩිපෝව වෙත ලැබී ඇති රථය බදුල්ල හා නුවරඑළිය අතර ධාවනයට යෙදවී ඇත. පසුව ඩිපෝවේ රියදුරු අභ්‍යාස විද්‍යලය වෙත මෙලෙස ලබාදී ඇත. රථයේ පසුකාලීනව සිදුව ඇති අලුත්වැඩියාවන් නිසා එහි මුල් මර්සිඩීස්-බෙන්ස් පෙනුම සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම පාහේ වෙනස් වී ඇති අතර ටාටා බස් රථයක මුහුණුවරක් ලැබී ඇත.

Allocated for the services between Welimada and Nebgombo under the route number 79. -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ග.ම.) කැප්පෙටිපොල ඩිපෝව යටතේ ධාවනය වන, ආසන 54 අශෝක් ලේලන්ඩ් වයිකින්ග් 210 ටර්බෝ වර්ගයේ බස් රථයක් නුවරඑළියේ දී. 2015 වසරේ ඩිපෝවට ලැබී ඇති රථය සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම ඉන්දියාවේ දී නිමවා ඇත. 2014 බස් රථ 2200 ව්‍යාපෘතිය යටතේ ශ්‍රී ලංගම රථ ඇණිය හා එක් වූ බස් රථයකි. ඡායාරූපය ලබාගන්නා අවස්ථාවේ මාර්ග අංක 79 යටතේ වැලිමඩ හා මීගමුව අතර ධාවනයට යොදවා තිබුණි.
