SRILANGAMA bodied TATA LP 1210/42 bus from SLTB Bandarawela depot

Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Bandarawela Depot TATA LP 1210/42 bus (BW 05 / 30ශ්‍රී3124) photographed in Bandarawela on 12 July 2017. This classic SLTB Type C bus, built by the Central Workshop, Ekala on a TATA LP 1210/42 chassis, was manufactured in India in 1983 and registered on 1 September 1983. The bus was originally allocated to Negombo Depot before being transferred to Bandarawela Depot, where it continued to provide reliable passenger transport for many years. At the time this photograph was taken, the bus was operating on a local service between Boralanda and Bandarawela, representing one of the long-serving TATA buses that played a significant role in Sri Lanka's public transport system during the 1980s and beyond.
