Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Galle depot, re-bodied Ashok Leyland Comet Minor bus (GE-0155) at Mahamodara. The bus acquired to the fleet in 2000. Due to the damage caused by the Tsunami disaster in 2004, a body procured from an old bus has been grafted and repaired. This photo was taken in March 2012 while it was allocated  for the services on a local route between between Delkada and Galle.  Currently, this is used as a service vehicle. -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ග.ම.) ගාල්ල ඩිපෝව යටතේ ධාවනය වන, අශෝක් ලේලන්ඩ් කොමට් මයිනර් වර්ගයේ බස් රථයක් මහමෝදර දී. සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම ඉන්දියාවේ නිමවා ඇති රථය 2000 වසරේ එවකට රුහුණු බස් සමාගම යටතේ ධාවනයට එක්වී ඇත. 2004 වසරේ ඇති වූ සුනාමි ව්‍යසනය හේතු කොට ගෙන රථයේ මුල් බඳ අබලන් වීම නිසා මෙලෙස පැරණි බස් රථයකින් සපයා ගත් බඳක් බද්ධ කොට ධාවනයට සපයා තිබුණි. 2012 වසරේ මාර්තු මස ඡායාරූපය ලබාගන්නා අවස්ථාවේ  දැල්කඩ හා ගාල්ල අතර ධාවනයට යොදවා තිබුණි. 2020 වසරේ කාර්මික සේවා රථයක් ලෙස පරිවර්ථනය කර ඇති මෙම රථය වර්තමානයේද ධාවනයේ පවතී.

Photo by: Bruce Harris / Photo courtesy: "Sri Lankan Buses - Past & Present", a publication by buses worldwide. -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා මධ්‍යම ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ම.ග.ම.) රත්මලාන ඩිපෝව යටතේ ධාවනය වූ, තනි තට්ටුවේ බසයක් ලෙස පරිවර්ථනය කරන ලද AEC Regent RT වර්ගයේ දෙමහල් බස් රථයක් 1981 මාර්තු මස පිළියන්දල දී. 1965 වසරේ ධාවනයට එක්වී ඇති රථය 1970 දශකයේ මැද භාගයේ මෙලෙස තනි තට්ටුවේ බසයක් ලෙස උඩුබද්දාව වැඩපොළේ දී පරිවර්ථනය කර ඇත. ඇතැම් ප්‍රදේශ වල දෙමහල් බස් රථ ධාවනය කරවීමේදී ඇති වූ යම් යම් ගැටළු සහගත තත්වයන් නිසා මෙලෙස දෙමහල් බස් රථ තනි මහල් බස් රථ ලෙස පරිවර්ථනය කරවීමට ලංගම විසින් තීරණය කර තිබී ඇති අතර එම ක්‍රියාවලිය සඳහා යොදාගෙන ඇත්තේ උඩුබද්දාව ප්‍රාදේශීය වැඩපොළයි. වැඩපොළ භූමියේ පූර්වයේ පැවති උඩුබද්දාව ඩිපෝව එම ස්ථානයෙන් ඉවත් කර එම බස් රථ වෙනත් ආසන්න ඩිපෝවන් වෙත අනියුක්ත කර එහි ප්‍රාදේශීය වැඩපොළ පිහිටුවා ඇත. මුල් කාලීනව එම වැඩපොළේ දී දෙමහල් බස් රථ තනි මහල් බස් රථ ලෙස පරිවර්ථනය කෙරෙන ක්‍රියාවලිය සිදු කර ඇත. 1981 වසරේ ඡායාරූපය ලබා අවස්ථාවේ මාර්ග අංක 255 යටතේ කොට්ටාව හා ගල්කිස්ස අතර ධාවනයට යොදවා ඇත. ඡායාරූපය උපුටා ගැනීම: buses worldwide මගින් ප්‍රකාශිත "Sri Lankan Buses - Past & Present" නම් ග්‍රන්ථයෙනි.

Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Kurunegala South depot, Ashok Leyland Viking 193 bus (KGS 83 / 63-2742) in the depot premises. The bus acquired to the fleet in 1999. Rehabilitated and modified in 2014 by the depot. -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ග.ම.) කුරුණෑගල දකුණ ඩිපෝවට අලුතින් ලැබුණු අශෝක් ලේලන්ඩ් ටර්බෝ වර්ගයේ බස් රථයක්... නම් නොවේ. නවතම බස් රථයක් ලෙස දිස් වූවද, මෙම බස් රථය ධාවනයෙන් ඉවත් කර තිබුණු 63- කාණ්ඩයට අයත් 1999 වසරේ ධාවනයට එක්වූ අශෝක් ලේලන්ඩ් වයිකින්ග් 193 වර්ගයේ බස් රථයකි. කුරුණෑගල දකුණ ඩිපෝව මගින් මෙලෙස පූර්ණ අලුත්වැඩියාවක් සිදුකර 2014 වසරේ දී ධාවනයට එක් කර තිබේ. මෙහි සියළුම අලුත්වැඩියාවන් ඩිපෝ ඉංජිනේරු අංශය මගින් සිදු කර තිබීමද විශේෂත්වයකි. ධාවනය සීමාකර තිබුණු රථ මෙලෙස ඵලදායිව අළුත්වැඩියා කර ධාවනයට යෙදවීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් කුරුණෑගල දකුණ ඩිපෝ ඉංජිනේරු සුමිත් හේරත් මහතා ඇතුළු සමස්ථ ඩිපොවම ඇගයීමට ලක්විය යුතුය.

Original Bharat built body destroyed due to a fire on board in 2012. Re-bodied by SLTB provincial workshop Bandarawela. Body taken from a Gampola depot, Ruby bodied TATA LP 1510/52 bus (63-4006). -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ හෝමාගම ඩිපෝවට අයත් අශෝක් ලේලන්ඩ් වයිකින්ග් බස් රථයක් ඩිපෝ ඉංජිනේරු අංශයේ දී. මෙම බස් රථය 2012 වසරේ කොළඹ බලා ධාවනය වෙමින් තිබියදී හපුතලේ ප්‍රදේශයේ දී බසය තුල ගින්නක් හට ගැනීම නිසා මෙහි මුල් භාරත් (Bharat coach) වර්ගයට අයත් බඳ සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම විනාශ වී ගොස් ඇත. පසුව බණ්ඩාරවෙල ශ්‍රී ලංගම ප්‍රාදේශීය වැඩපොළේ දී වෙනත් බඳක් බද්ධ කර ඇති අතර එය සපයාගෙන ඇත්තේ ගම්පොල ඩිපෝවෙන් ධාවනයෙන් ඉවත් කරන ලද ටාටා LP 1510/52 වර්ගයේ රුබී බඳ සහිත 63-4006 දරණ බස් රථයෙනි.

Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Balangoda depot, Latec re-bodied TATA LP 1210/52 bus (23ශ්‍රී9710) in the depot premises. -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ග.ම.) බලන්ගොඩ ඩිපෝවට අයත් ටාටා LP 1210/52 වර්ගයේ බස් රථයකි. 1979 වසරේ ශ්‍රී ලං.ම.ග.ම. මගින් එකලස් කරන ලද බඳක් සහිතව ධාවනයට එක්වී ඇති මෙහි මුල් බඳ අබලන් වීම නිසා පසුකාලීනව, පුද්ගලීකරණය කරන ලද කැප්පෙටිපොල වැඩපොල වෙත යවා නව ලටෙක් කෙස්කෝ බඳක් බද්ධ කර ඇත. පසුකාලීන අළුත්වැඩියාවන් නිසා එම බඳෙහි මුල් පෙනුමද බොහෝ සෙයින් වෙනස් වී ඇත. ඡායාරූප ලබාගත් අවස්ථාවේ අතිරේක බස් රථයක් ලෙස භාවිත විය.

Rehabilitated and modified by the depot in 2014. -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ග.ම.) කුරුණෑගල දකුණ ඩිපෝව සතු  අශෝක් ලේලන්ඩ් කොමට් මයිනර් වර්ගයේ බස් රථයක් ඩිපෝ පරිශ්‍රයේ දී. නවතම බස් රථයක් ලෙස දිස් වූවද, මෙම බස් රථය 2000 වසරේ ධාවනයට එක්වූ, කන්තලේ ඩිපෝවෙන් ධාවනයෙන් ඉවත් කර තිබුණු බස් රථයකි. කුරුණෑගල දකුණ ඩිපෝව මගින් පූර්ණ අලුත්වැඩියාවක් සිදුකර මෙලෙස ධාවනයට එක් කිරීමට සූදානමින් තිබේ. මෙහි සියළුම අලුත්වැඩියාවන් ඩිපෝ ඉංජිනේරු අංශය මගින් සිදු කර තිබීමද විශේෂත්වයකි. භාවිතයට නොගෙන ඉවත් කොට තිබූ ජනතා දේපොළ මෙලෙස ඵලදායිව ජනතා සේවයට යෙදවීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් කුරුණෑගල දකුණ ඩිපෝ ඉංජිනේරු සුමිත් හේරත් මහතා ඇතුළු සමස්ථ ඩිපොවම ඇගයීමට ලක්විය යුතුය.

Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Matara depot re-bodied Ahsok Leyand Viking bus (MT 63 / 63-2596) in the depot yard. -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ග.ම.) මාතර ඩිපෝවට අයත් අශෝක් ලේලන්ඩ් වයිකින්ග් බස් රථයකි. සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම ඉන්දියාවේ එකලස් කොට 1999 වසරේ ධාවනයට එක් වී ඇති මෙම බස් රථයේ, මුල් බඳ පසුකාලීනව අබලන් වීම නිසා පැරණි ශ්‍රී ලං.ම.ග.ම. බඳ සහිත බස් රථයකින් සපයා ගත් බඳක් බද්ධ කර මෙලෙස පුනරුත්ථාපනය කර ධාවනයට එකතු කොට තිබේ.

Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Anuradhapura depot, Latec re-bodied Ashok Leyland Viking bus (AP 32 / 29 ශ්‍රී 9247) at the Anuradhapura bus stand. Awiting to leave for Puwarsankum on a local route. -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ග.ම.) අනුරාධපුර ඩිපෝවට අයත් අශෝක් ලේලන්ඩ් වයිකින්ග් බස් රථයක් අනුරාධපුර බස් නැවතුමේ දී. 1982 වසරේ ධාවනයට එක් වී ඇති බස් රථයක් වූ මෙහි මුල් බඳ අබලන් වීම නිසා පසුකාලීනව ලටෙක් සමාගම මගින් නව බඳක් එකලස් කර නැවත ධාවනයට එක් කර ඇත. මෑත කාළීනව සිදු වූ අලුත්වැඩියාවන් නිසා මුහුණත මුල් පෙනුම තරමක් වෙනස් වී ඇති බව නිරීක්‍ෂණය වේ. ඡායාරූප ලබාගන්නා අවස්ථාවේ අනුරාධපුර සිට පුවර්සන්කුලම බලා ධාවනයට සූදානමින් තිබුණි.

Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Matara depot, re-bodied Ashok Leyland Viking bus (MT 38 / 61-1605) at the Marata bus stand. -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ග.ම.) මාතර ඩිපෝවට අයත් අශෝක් ලේලන්ඩ් වයිකින්ග් බස් රථයක් මාතර බස් නැවතුමේ දී. 1992 වසරේ එවකට ජනතා සන්තක ප්‍රවාහන සේවය මගින් මිලදී ගෙන ධාවනයට එක්වී ඇති රථයේ මුල් බඳ අබලන් වීම නිසා පසුකාලීන අලුත්වැඩියාවකදී එහි මුල් බඳ ඉවත් කර මෙම ලංගම මාදිලියේ බඳ බද්ධ කර ඇති බව නිරීක්ෂණය වේ.

මෙම බස් රථය 2012 ජුලි මස, මාතර බස් නැවතුමේ දී.

Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Nawalapitiya depot, Latec Re-bodied TATA LP 1510/36 bus (NW 63 / GE-1358) at Nawalapitiya bus stand. -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං. ග. ම.) නාවලපිටිය ඩිපෝවට අයත්  LP 1510/36 බස් රථයක් නාවලපිටිය බස් නැවතුම්පොළේ දී. මුලින් TATA 1510 රුබී (Ruby) බඳක් සහිතව පැමිණි මෙම බස් රථය අනතුරකට ලක්ව පෙරලී යාම නිසා, (එවකට ලටෙක් සමාගම සතු) කහගොල්ල වැඩපොළ වෙත යවා ඇති අතර වැඩපොළේ දී මුල් බඳ ඉවත් කර අලුතින්ම ලටෙක් බඳක් සවිකර මෙලෙස නැවත ධාවනයට එකතු කර තිබේ.

Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Kegalle depot, Lakdiwa re-bodied TATA LP 1210/42 bus (KL 36 / 30ශ්‍රී9557) in the depot premises. Recently re-bodied by the Lakdiwa engineering Pvt. Ltd (Government owned). -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ග.ම.) කෑගල්ල ඩිපෝවට අයත් ටාටා  LP 1210/42 වර්ගයේ බස් රථයකි. ඒකල පිහිටි ලක්දිව වැඩපොළේ පුනරුත්ථාපනය කර ඇති මෙම බස් රථයේ විශේෂත්වය වන්නේ එක් බස් රථයකින් ලබාගත් තට්ටුවකට වෙනත් බස් රථයකින් ලබාගත් බඳක් බද්ධ කර තිබීමයි. අලුත්වැඩියාව පිණිස වැඩපොළට යවා ඇති බස් රථයේ මුල් තට්ටුව අබලන්ව කැඩී යාම නිසා කෑගල්ල ඩිපොවේම ධාවනයෙන් ඉවත් කර තිබුණු 30ශ්‍රී9557 බස් රථයේ තට්ටුව ඒ වෙනුවට යොදවා අලුත්වැඩියාව සිදු කර ඇත.

Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Galle depot, Latec Kesco re-bodied Ashok Leyland viking bus (60-5744) at Galle. Playing on the route no 530 from Galle to Baddegama. -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලංගම) ගාල්ල ඩිපෝව යටතේ ධාවනය වන ලටෙක් කෙස්කෝ බස් රථයක් ගාල්ලේ දී. මෙහි මුල් බඳ ශ්‍රීලංගම වේරහැර වැඩපොළේ එකලස් කරන ලද්දක් වන අතර පසුකාලීනව සිදුවූ අනතුරක් හේතුවෙන් එය විනාශ වී ඇත. පසුව ලටෙක් සමාගම වෙත පවරා තිබුණු කැප්පෙටිපොළ, කහගොල්ල වැඩපොළ වෙත යවා ඩියුපල් මෙට්සෙක් තාක්ෂනය යටතේ මෙම බඳ එම චැසිය මත එකලස් කර ඇත. රථය මාර්ග අංක 530 යටතේ ගාල්ල හා බද්දේගම අතර ධාවනයට යොදවා තිබුණි. පසු කාලීන අලුත්වැඩියාවක දී මුල් පෙනුම මඳක් වෙනස් කර ඇති බවද නිරීක්ෂණය වේ.
