Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Vavuniya Depot Ashok Leyland Comet Minor breakdown service vehicle (62-4561) parked within the depot premises. Originally built as an Ashok Leyland Comet Minor bus, this vehicle was later converted into a breakdown and recovery unit to provide roadside assistance and towing services for the depot fleet. This photograph was taken on 28 July 2026. -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ග.ම.) වව්නියා ඩිපෝවට අයත් අශෝක් ලේලන්ඩ් කොමට් මයිනර් වර්ගයේ කාර්මික සේවා රථයක් ඩිපෝ පරිශ්‍රයේ දී. 1996 වසරේ ධාවනයට එක් වූ බස් රථයක් මෙලෙස කාර්මික සේවා රථයක් ලෙස සකසා ඇත. 2026 වසරේ ජූලි මස 28 දින ඡායාරූපය ලබාගන්නා අවස්ථාවේ ඩිපෝ පරිශ්‍රයේ ගාල් කොට තිබුණි.

This vehicle is a converted Comet Minor bus used for breakdown and recovery operations. Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Embilipitiya depot, Bharat bodied Ashok Leyland Comet Minior bus (EMB 85 / GD-9895) at the Embilipitiya bus stand. The bus, fully made in India, was added to the depot fleet in 2001 and, at the time the photo was taken, it used to operate on the 'Urubokka- Embilipitiya' route under route number 168. Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Bandarawela depot, Ashok Leyland Comet Minor modified bus (GD-9921) near the lake Richmond on the Haputhale Dambethanna road. The bus acquired to Ruhnu bus company's Tangalle depot fleet in 2001. Recently transfferd to the Bandarawela depot due to timetable requiremnets. This photo was taken in April 2024 while it was allocated for the service between Bandarawela and Dambethanna under the route number 326. -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ග.ම.) බණ්ඩාරවෙල  ඩිපෝව යටතේ ධාවනය වන අශෝක් ලේලන්ඩ් කොමට් මයිනර් වර්ගයේ බස් රථයක් හපුතලේ දඹේතැන්න මාර්ගයේ ලේක් රිච්මන්ඩ් අසල දී. 2001 වසරේ ධාවනයට එක් වී ඇති රථය රුහුණු බස් සමාගමේ තංගල්ල ඩිපෝව යටතේ ධාවනයට එක්වී ඇත. පසුකාලීන ධාවන අවශ්‍යතා මත මෙලෙස බණ්ඩාරවෙල ඩිපෝව වෙත ලබා දී ඇත. පසුකාලීන අළුත්වැඩියාවන් වලදී රථයේ මුහුණත මුල් පෙනුම වෙනස් වී ඇති බව නිරීක්‍ෂණය වේ. ඡායාරූපය ලබාගන්නා අවස්ථාවේ රථය මාර්ග අංක 326 යටතේ බණ්ඩාරවෙල සිට දඹේතැන්න බලා ධාවනය වෙමින් තිබුණි.

Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Galle depot, re-bodied Ashok Leyland Comet Minor bus (GE-0155) at Mahamodara. The bus acquired to the fleet in 2000. Due to the damage caused by the Tsunami disaster in 2004, a body procured from an old bus has been grafted and repaired. This photo was taken in March 2012 while it was allocated  for the services on a local route between between Delkada and Galle.  Currently, this is used as a service vehicle. -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ග.ම.) ගාල්ල ඩිපෝව යටතේ ධාවනය වන, අශෝක් ලේලන්ඩ් කොමට් මයිනර් වර්ගයේ බස් රථයක් මහමෝදර දී. සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම ඉන්දියාවේ නිමවා ඇති රථය 2000 වසරේ එවකට රුහුණු බස් සමාගම යටතේ ධාවනයට එක්වී ඇත. 2004 වසරේ ඇති වූ සුනාමි ව්‍යසනය හේතු කොට ගෙන රථයේ මුල් බඳ අබලන් වීම නිසා මෙලෙස පැරණි බස් රථයකින් සපයා ගත් බඳක් බද්ධ කොට ධාවනයට සපයා තිබුණි. 2012 වසරේ මාර්තු මස ඡායාරූපය ලබාගන්නා අවස්ථාවේ  දැල්කඩ හා ගාල්ල අතර ධාවනයට යොදවා තිබුණි. 2020 වසරේ කාර්මික සේවා රථයක් ලෙස පරිවර්ථනය කර ඇති මෙම රථය වර්තමානයේද ධාවනයේ පවතී.

Body built by Azad coach builders in India and acquired to the PTS Kandy South in 1992. Allocated for the services on a local route between Ratemulla and Kandy under the route number 640. -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ග.ම.) මහනුවර දකුණ ඩිපෝව යටතේ ධාවනය වන, අසාඩ් බඳ සහිත අශෝක් ලේලන්ඩ් කොමට් මයිනර් වර්ගයේ බස් රථයක් මහනුවර ගුඩ් ෂෙඩ් බස් නැවතුමේ දී. සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම ඉන්දියාවේ නිමවා ඇති රථය 1992 වසරේ එවකට සීමාසහිත මහනුවර දකුණ ජනතා සන්තක ප්‍රවාහන සේවය යටතේ ධාවනයට එක්වී ඇත. 2012 වසරේ මැයි මස ඡායාරූපය ලබාගන්නා අවස්ථාවේ මාර්ග අංක 640 යටතේ ගාල්තැන්න හරහා රටේමුල්ල හා මහනුවර අතර සේවාවන් සඳහා යොදවා තිබුණි.

Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Badulla depot, modified Ashok Leyland comet Minor open-top bus (GE-3869) in the depot premises. This vehicle operating under the Kalutara depot of the Kalutara Bus Company in 2000 was later taken away by the SLTB Badulla depot in 2019 and repaired and modified as a special tour bus in March 2021. -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ග.ම.) බදුල්ල ඩිපෝවට අයත්, අශෝක් ලේලන්ඩ් කොමට් මයිනර් වර්ගයේ බස් රථයකි. 2000 වසරේ එවකට කළුතර බස් සමාගමේ කළුතර ඩිපෝව යටතේ ධාවනයට එක්වී ඇති මෙම රථය පසු කාලීනව ධාවනයන් සීමාකර තිබියෙදී 2019 වසරේ ශ්‍රී ලංගම බදුල්ල ඩිපෝව විසින් රැගෙනවිත් මෙලෙස විශේෂ සංචාර බස් රථයක් ලෙස අලුත්වැඩියා කර 2021 වසරේ මාර්තු මස මෙලෙස ධාවනයට එක් කර ඇත. ඉදිරියේ දී ඇල්ල ඇතුළු සංචාරක කළාප ඉලක්ක කර විශේෂ සේවා ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමට නියමිත බව ඩිපෝ ආරංචිමාර්ග පවසයි.

Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Batticaloa depot, Utkal bodied Ashok Leyland Comet Minor bus (GE-0530) at the Galle face green. Body built by Utkal coach builders in India and acquired to the fleet in 2001. Rehabilitated by the depot workers under the 2020 year-end special rehabilitation project. -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ග.ම.) මඩකලපුව ඩිපෝව යටතේ ධාවනය වන Utkal බඳ සහිත අශෝක් ලේලන්ඩ් කොමට් මයිනර් වර්ගයේ බස් රථයක් කොළඹ ගාළු මුවදොර පිටියේ දී. ඉන්දියාවේ Utkal සමාගම මගින් බඳ සකසා 2001 වසරේ දී එවකට පොකුරු බස් සමාගම් යටතේ ධාවනයට එක්වී ඇත බස් රථයකි. මෑත කාලීනව ධාවනයන් සීමා වී තිබී ඇති බස් රථය, මෙලෙස බස් ජනසතු දිනයට සමගාමීව වසර අවසානයේ පැවැත්වෙන පුනරුත්ථාපන ව්‍යාපෘතිය යටතේ අලුත්වැඩියාවකට ලක් කර 2020 වසරේ දෙසැම්බර් 31 දින මෙලෙස ධාවනයට එක් කර තිබේ. පසුකාලීන අළුත්වැඩියාවන් වලදී රථයේ මුහුණත මුල් පෙනුම වෙනස් වී ඇති බව නිරීක්‍ෂණය වේ.

Photo by Uvindu Apzara -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ග.ම.) බලන්ගොඩ ඩිපෝව සතු අශෝක් ලේලන්ඩ් කොමට් මයිනර් වර්ගයේ බස් රථයක් ඩිපෝ පරිශ්‍රයේ දී. නවතම බස් රථයක් ලෙස දිස් වූවද, මෙම බස් රථය 2000 වසරේ ධාවනයට එක්වූ, කල්මුණේ ඩිපෝවෙන් ධාවනයෙන් ඉවත් කර තිබුණු බස් රථයකි. බලන්ගොඩ ඩිපෝව මගින් පූර්ණ අලුත්වැඩියාවක් සිදුකර 2019 ඔක්තෝබර් මස, මෙලෙස ධාවනයට එක් කිරීමට සූදානමින් තිබේ. මෙහි සියළුම අලුත්වැඩියාවන් ඩිපෝ ඉංජිනේරු අංශය මගින් සිදු කර තිබීමද විශේෂත්වයකි. රථය මාර්ග අංක 114 යටතේ උඩවෙල අකරැල්ල හරහා පරගහමඩිත්ත අතර ධාවනයට නියමිතවී ඇත. ඡායාරූපය: උවිඳු අප්සර.

Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Galgamuwa depot, TVS bodied Ashok Leyland Comet Minor bus (GE-0143) in the depot premises. Acquired to the fleet in year 2000. Allocated on a local route between Galgamuwa and Nanneriya via Ihalagama, Wannikudawewa and Karabewa. -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ග.ම.) ගල්ගමුව ඩිපෝව යටතේ ධාවනය වන අශෝක් ලේලන්ඩ් කොමට් මයිනර් වර්ගයේ බස් රථයක් ඩිපෝ පරිශ්‍රයේ දී. සම්පුර්ණයෙන්ම ඉන්දියාවේ නිපදවා ඇති මෙම බස් රථය 2000 වසරේ ධාවනයට එක්වී ඇත. පසුකාලීන අළුත්වැඩියාවන් නිසා රථයේ මුහුණත මුල් පෙනුම වෙනස් වී ඇති බව නිරීක්ෂණය වේ. ඡායාරූපය ලබාගත් අවසථාවේ ගල්ගමුව සිට ඉහලගම, වන්නිකුඩාවැව, කරබෑව හරහා නාන්නේරිය දක්වා ධාවනයට යොදවා තිබුණි.
