Latec TATA LP 1210/52 bus from SLTB Wariyapola depot

Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Wariyapola Depot Latec-bodied TATA LP 1210/52 bus (WR 23 / 61-8389) is seen parked near a rest house in Kataragama. The bus was built by Latec with a Duple Metsec (UK) body and was added to the fleet in 1993, during the Peoplized Transport Service (PTS) era. In 2012, the bus underwent a rehabilitation carried out by the depot's own workers as part of a year-end rehabilitation project. Several modifications can be observed following the rehabilitation, including the modified headlight arrangement and replacement of the side shutters with shutters obtained from a Dimo-bodied bus. The photograph was taken on 31 December 2012 in Kataragama, while the bus was parked near a rest house. The bus is no longer in service and has since been withdrawn from active operations.-- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ග.ම.) වාරියපොල ඩිපෝව යටතේ ධාවනය වූ ලටෙක් ටාටා LP 1210/52 වර්ගයේ බස් රථයක් කතරගම දී. ලටෙක් සමාගම හා බ්‍රිතාන්‍ය ඩියුපල් මෙට්සෙක් සමාගම එක්ව (ලංගම පුද්ගලීකරණය කළ) වේරහැර මධ්‍යම වැඩපොළේ දී බඳ එකලස් කර 1993 වසරේ එවකට ජනතා සන්තක ප්‍රවාහන සේවය යටතේ ධාවනයට එක් කර ඇත. 2012 වසරේ, වර්ෂ අවසාන බස් රථ පුනරුත්ථාපන වැඩසටහන යටතේ පූර්ණ අලුත්වැඩියාවකට ලක් කර ඇති බස් රථය මෙලෙස අදාළ වැඩසටහන වෙත සහභාගී වීම සඳහා කතරගම වෙත පැමිණ තිබුණි. පසුකාලීන අලුත්වැඩියාවන් වලදී රථයේ ප්‍රධාන ලාම්පු මෙන්ම පැති ජනේලද වෙනස් වී ඇති බව නිරීක්ෂණය වේ. මේ වන විට රථය ධාවනයෙන් ඉවත්ව ඇත.
