  1. This took me to my school ages. Sorry, I will not comment on Leyland, but the face of this bus.
This face is from a Tigrotto OM 4 cylinder bus. Can remember Gampola had many of these buses in very early 1980’s bearing numbers in 23 Sri 1**** series. They were very successfully operated in hilly routes. Just recalling they had a funny engine sound, very close to LAL Lynx. In addition, a long hand brake lever was there located on the left side of the dashboard. The bed of the bus was bit lower compared with other buses. Later this model was used by private operators in Kollupitiya-Wellampitiya 140 route, now very rarely seen in operation. Few years back I saw one used in a tele-drama.
