SLCTB bodied TATA LP 1210/52 bus from SLTB Ratnapura depot

Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Ratnapura depot, SLCTB bodied TATA LP 1210/52 bus (RP 06 / 29ශ්‍රී1727) at Ratnapura bus stand. Ready to leave for Sri Palabaddala on the route number 477. -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ග.ම.) රත්නපුර ඩිපෝව යටතේ ධාවනය වන, ශ්‍රී ලං.ම.ග.ම. බඳ සැකසූ  ටාටා LP 1210/52 වර්ගයේ බස් රථයක් රත්නපුර බස් නැවතුමේ දී. 1980 වසරේ ලංකා මධ්‍යම ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලය මගින් බඳ එකලස් කොට ධාවනයට එක් වී ඇත. ඡායාරූප ලබාගත් අවස්ථාවේ මාර්ග අංක 477 යටතේ ශ්‍රී පලාබද්දල හා රත්නපුර අතර ධාවනයට යොදවා තිබුණි.

  1. I can remember that in these buses, there was a big wooden box in rear of driver's seat. this is called as "battery pettiya" or battery box. this is where the battery was installed. This was a huge box about 3*3*3 foot. Two passengers can sit on it or keep their luggage.
    In school days we used put our school bags on it and have a good chat with the driver.
    I think it will be better if you can publish some thing about this battery box since it was a remarkable feature in these buses
