MG Alma bodied Ashok Leyland Leera luxury bus from SLTB Aambalantota depot

Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Ambalantota Depot MG Alma-bodied Ashok Leyland Leera luxury bus (NE-3617) is seen at the Makumbura Multimodal Center (MMC), moments before departing for Hambantota. The bus was obtained from Lanka Ashok Leyland PLC on a temporary hire basis and was allocated for expressway services between Makumbura and Hambantota via Agunukolapelessa. The bus was specially painted in a “Senkadagalapura” themed livery, featuring artwork inspired by the Sri Dalada Maligawa, traditional Kandyan elephants, and other cultural motifs associated with the heritage of Kandy. The photograph was taken on 29 August 2026 at the Makumbura Multimodal Center, shortly after the bus commenced its journey towards Hambantota. -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනානගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ග.ම.) අම්බලන්තොට ඩිපෝව යටතේ ධාවනය වන MG Alma බඳ සහිත අශෝක් ලේලන්ඩ් ලීරා වර්ගයේ බස් රථයක් මාකුඹුර බහිවිධ ප්‍රවාහන මධ්‍යස්ථානයේ දී. ලංකා අශෝක් ලේලන්ඩ් (පොදු) සමාගම මගින් තාවකාලික කුලී පදනම මත ඩිපෝවට ලබාගත් බස් රථය මාකුඹුර හා හම්බන්තොට අතර අධිවේගී මාර්ග සේවා සඳහා යොදවා තිබුණි. ශ්‍රී දළදා මාලිගාව, සාම්ප්‍රදායික මහනුවර ඇත් රූප සහ මහනුවර උරුමය හා බැඳුණු වෙනත් සංස්කෘතික අංග ඇසුරෙන් නිර්මාණය කළ සිතුවමක් සහිතව, "සෙංකඩගලපුර" තේමාවට අනුකූලව මෙම බස් රථය විශේෂයෙන් වර්ණ ගන්වා තිබුණි. මෙම ඡායාරූපය 2026 අගෝස්තු මස 29 වන දින මාකුඹුර බහුවිධ ප්‍රවාහන මධ්‍යස්ථානයේදී, බස් රථය හම්බන්තොට බලා සිය ගමන ආරම්භ කර මද වේලාවකට පසු ලබා ගන්නා ලදී.
