මේ බස්වලට අපි කිව්වේ අච්චු පාන් ගෙඩි කියලා :D
ReplyDeleteඅන්තිමට තිබෙන ඡායාරූපය දැක්කහම මට එක්තරා කාරණයක් මතක් වුණා. 1980 ජනවාරියේ දී මහරගම ඩිපෝවට ආපු 29 ශ්‍රී 300 නැත්නම් 400 ගණන්වල බස්වල ආසන තිබුණේ ඉතා අඩු ප්‍රමාණයක්. ඒ දෙපැත්තේ කවුළු පේළි දෙක දිගේ එකිනෙකට පිටුපසින් පිහිටි තනි ආසන වශයෙන්. වැඩිපුර මඟීන් ප්‍රමාණයක් ප්‍රවාහනය කිරීම සඳහා යි එසේ කර තිබුණේ. එහෙත් මඟීන්ගේ විරෝධතාව නිසා සුළු කලකින් තනි ආසන ගලවා පරණ විදියට ම දෙදෙනෙකුට වාඩි විය හැකි ආසන සවි කෙරුණා.

ReplyDeleteHi, Uthpala you are doing a great great job! Since childhood I have been crazy about CTB buses like you. My father also worked at CTB till he passed away. In early 80's he was working at Galle depot.when he goes to work I too go with him to see buses in the depot. At that time the best bus at Galle depot was the GL 11, and I was very happy to see the picture of it in your blog. It had a casset player ,which was fixed by the employees of the depot by collecting money among them- selves. It was the only one in the Southern province @ that time.
