Voll bodied Mercedes-Benz OP 312 bus from SLTB Yatinuwara Workshop

Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) Yatinuwara workshop, Voll bodied Mercedes-Benz OP 312 bus (22ශ්‍රී3453) in the workshop premises. Body built by Voll, Switzerland. Acquired to the CTB in 1958. Currently using as the staff bus of the workshop . -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ග.ම.) යටිනුවර ප්‍රාදේශීය වැඩපොළට අයත්, වෝල් බඳ සහිත මර්සිඩීස් බෙන්ස් OP 312 බස් රථයකි. මෙම බස් රථ, ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලය පිහිටුවීමට සමගාමීව (1958 දී) ලංගම රථ ඇණිය හා එකතු වී ඇත. බඳ (body) ස්විස්ටර්ලන්තයේ වෝල් කොච් සමාගම මගින් නිෂ්පාදිතය. වර්තමානයේ වැඩපොළේ සේවක ප්‍රවාහන රථය ලෙස භාවිතා වේ.

    ලංකාවේ බස් එකක අන්තිම සිට් පේලි මේ ව්දිහට තියෙන එකම බසයත් මේක වෙන්න ඇති නේද? මේ බස් ඇත්තෙන්ම ජාතික උරුමයක් හැටියට සුරකින අයට ඇත්තෙන්ම ස්තුති විය යුතුයි.

      ඔව් වෙන්න පුළුවන්. මමත් දැකල නැහැ ඔහොම. TATA 1510C එකේ ඉස්සරහම සෙට් එක නම් දැලක තියෙනවා. මමත් දැක්කමයි. ඇත්තටම ඔබ නිවැරදී. මේ බස් එක රැකගන්න මහන්සි වෙනවා කියන්නේ ඔය රියදුරු තුමා තමයි. :)

    Hi Dilhan,
    It's good to see some old CTB , SLTB busses, I really like Voll- Bodied Merceds- Benz 0 312. To the best of my knowledge karosserie voll würzburg is in Germany. they are coach builders among them they build Magirus- Deutz 03500h bus,
    there were a few Magirus- Deutz busses in Sri lanka, Try to find'em. cheers

    This bus was originally used by Kandy South depot for passenger transport. At that time this had 2 doors with pneumatic door closures. Kandy South depot had many of these buses plying in the routes of Ampitiya, Peradeniya,Lewalla and many more. All buses originally had 2 auto doors operated by the driver.
