SLCTB bodied British Leyland Boxer bus from SLCTB Maharagama depot

Sri Lanka Central Transport Board (SLCTB) Maharagama Depot classic British Leyland Boxer Bus (29ශ්‍රී5567) at Kollupitiya. (Pic by: Geoff Bruce) -- ශ්‍රී ලංකා මධ්‍යම ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලයේ (ශ්‍රී ලං.ම.ග.ම) මහරගම ඩිපෝවට අයත්ව තිබූ British Leyland Boxer වර්ගයේ බස රථයක් කොල්ලුපිටියේ දී. ඡායාරූපය ලබාගන්නා අවස්ථාවේ පාසැල් බස රථයක් ලෙස යොදා තිබී ඇත. මෙම වර්ගයේ බස් ලංගම සතුව තිබී ඇත්තේ ඉතා සීම්මිත ගණනක් පමණි. බ්‍රිතාන්‍යයේ නිෂ්පාදිත චැසියකට මෙරටදී  බඳ නිපදවා ඇත.     Sorry Uthpala I have to correct You, Ratmalana Depot never had Leyland Boxer Buses, as the destination board shows 118 - they were only operated by Maharagama Depot-and likely taken near Dehiwala railstation.

      yes you are correct! this may be Maharagama depot bus. look at the board. it's 112. Thanks a lot for the correction sir! :)

      Ratmalana Depot never had Boxers in their fleet
      This photograph is at Kollupitiya Station premises
      I assime this is the school bus of Methodist College
      This photograph dates back to 1980/1981 period
      25 Leyland Boxes and 10 Leyland Clysdales were purchased by CTB in 1980 and they were allocated to Maharagama & Ratmalana Depots respectively

    I traveled by this type in my school days during the period of 1983 to 1987 as I remember. There were two Busses from Maharagama and Homagama to our school (Nalanda) solely in the beginning. Later they became mixed school buses shared by other schools also (Podu Pasel).

    මේවා ලේලන්ඩ් බොක්සර් මහරගම ඩිපෝවේ තිබුණේ 138 මාර්ගයේේ ධාවනය වුණා.1980දශක යේ
